Yellow Barn Music Festival Presents Public Master Classes
Yellow Barn Music School and Festival in Putney is offering a series of public master classes during its ongoing 40th anniversary season, offering a unique inside look at the preparation of chamber music for public performance. All classes will take place at the festival’s air-conditioned, handicapped-accessible Putney performance barn, and all will involve renowned artists in public coaching sessions with selected festival musicians.

Cellist Steven Doane of the Eastman School of Music will lead the class on Saturday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. and former Takács Quartet violist and Grammy Award-winner Roger Tapping will offer a class on August 1 at the same time. On Monday, August 3, cellist Paul Katz, longtime former member of the Cleveland Quartet and faculty at the New England Conservatory, will offer a class at 8 p.m. For tickets and information, call 802-387-6637 or visit www.yellowbarn.org.
