A daylong retreat on “Buddhist Personality Types” is set for Sunday, July 26, at the Vermont Insight Meditation Center.
Amita Schmidt, a Vipassana teacher and social worker, will offer teachings based on her recent Tricycle Magazine article “Which Buddhist Personality Type Are You?”
Schmidt will explain six personality tendencies, how to skillfully work with them in daily life and how to transform difficulties into strengths.
The retreat, open to beginners and experienced students, also will include sitting and walking meditation (chairs and cushions provided).
The retreat will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solar Hill Neighbors’ Hall on 229 Western Ave. The registration fee is $15 with an additional donation suggested to thank the teacher. Participants should bring their own lunch, with tea provided.
