If Dora quits this time and the board is allowed to appoint a three year person without the will of the people being heard - she should never, ever run again.
Three years Dora. I hope you're ready to roll up your sleeves and do this job for that period of time - no matter how frustrated or arm twisted you might feel or become. Otherwise, someone else (perhaps the arm twisters) gets to appoint our representative - undermining the will of the people. So stick to your guns in that boys and downtown club. You are a PEOPLE representative, not theirs.
This WORK is about being informed - like Audry always was. No rolling over when it gets tough! I was very concerned that you threw up your hands in the past. Can't do that again - it usurps the power of the people and hands it to the board.

Yes, I think you may be mixing up "quitting" with Dora dropping out of the election at the last minute last year, which is different. A little odd, certainly, but not the same as quitting the SB.

As several have already noted, Dora never resigned from the selectboard, she suspended her campaign though.
Dora seems to get on very well with selectboard members of all political stripes and relishes her role in local politics so it is probably unlikely she would ever leave the scene early.
