Classical Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Workshop in Putney
    Wednesday, March 03 2010 @ 08:12 PM GMT+4
    Contributed by: Anonymous

HealthMedicine for the People will be offering a workshop in Classical Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan. The workshop is designed for beginners new to the art. However, advanced students of tai chi chuan, qigong, and other martial arts will benefit tremendously from the core fundamental training of Yang family teachings. All participants will learn Yang family qigong exercises (center harmony qigong & three circle exercises) and the Yang family 22 movement "medium frame" form.

This workshop will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 pm at Medicine for the People, 133 Main Street (in the upstairs ballroom), Putney,VT. The cost is $100. Pre-registration is required. Sign up before March 5th and receive $15 off tuition.

The workshop will be taught by internationally acclaimed Sifu Dimitri Mougdis. He has been studying and teaching Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan for almost 30 years. He began his study under Grand Master Gin Soon Chu, one of the only disciples of Yang family lineage to teach in the United States, and later Professor Fang Ning from China. Dimitri is considered by many tai chi chuan practitioners as “a teacher’s teacher” because he carries an authentic transmission of the Yang family. He currently is the founder of Internal Arts Institute located in Stuart, Florida.

This is a rare opportunity to study with a highly skilled teacher; do not miss your chance. Call for registration, directions or further questions at 802-387-3028 ext. 1 or visit us online at www.medicineforthepeople.org.
