Summer Session Registration Now Open At Keene State College
    Wednesday, March 24 2010 @ 02:31 PM GMT+4
    Contributed by: KSCCE

EducationKEENE, N.H., 03/24/10 – Keene State College’s summer session provides you with opportunities to advance your career goals, brush up on skills, get ahead on required courses, graduate early or on time, or take a course for fun and personal enrichment while enjoying smaller classes and leaving you time to enjoy summer activities.

Run through Continuing Education and Extended Studies, you can take courses during two six-week-long summer sessions: Summer I (May 17-June 25) and Summer II (June 28-August 6), and during one 12-week session: Full Summer (May 17-August 6).

Courses in more than 30 different fields are offered, including those in architecture, communication, computer science, economics, education, health science, management, special education, and safety studies. Credit and noncredit courses are offered and courses run during the week and on weekends.

To accommodate busy schedules, summer courses have several formats: four-week, blended, and online courses.

Four-week credit classes are new offerings this summer. Blended courses taught partially online and partially in-class let you study when it is convenient and reduce your travel time. Online courses range from hundreds of six-week noncredit courses that are $99 each up to certificate programs with ongoing start dates and completion dates of six months or less.

Courses for developing work skills include Private Pilot License Ground School that prepares you for the FAA written test, a human resource management program, and a study abroad program in Mexico focusing on intensive Spanish language and Mexican cultural studies. A writers’ conference helps you perfect your fiction, nonfiction, poetry, young adult fiction, and music and lyric compositions.

Summer Session I and Full Summer course registration continues through May 12. Summer Session II course registration runs through June 23. Registration for weekend courses and one-week institutes is open until the day class begins; however, early registration is encouraged.

Call 800-KSC-1909 or 358-2290, visit www.keene.edu/conted, or stop by Continuing Education’s office (Elliot Center, 229 Main Street, first floor, Keene).
