Transition Putney And Sandglass Present Global Warming "Co-Opera", May 11
    Sunday, May 09 2010 @ 12:39 AM GMT+4
    Contributed by: Anonymous

ArtsFacing the overwhelming reality of global warming understandably causes fear, denial, and paralysis. Music can help us manage the psychological challenges to initiating individual and collective action in response.

Our leaders have failed to address global warming. We the people must be the hope and take the lead in confronting this threat to our planet.

Save the Secret of the Seasons is a participatory musical experience – a “coopera” – that stimulates audience members to address their relationship to global warming and climate change.

Based on songs written by John Ungerleider and Bill Conley for the Copenhagen climate conference in December, 2009, Save the Secret of the Seasons is a musical, reflective journey that engages the audience with the external and internal challenges global climate change is bringing to our lives.

The performance is free. The 3 song CD, Save the Secret of the Seasons, featuring songs from the show, and produced by Putney’s own Billy Straus, will be available at the show for donations to Transition Town Putney.
