    Questions & Answers

Award-winning Jewish author, Anna Baltzer, will discuss the obstacles and paths to peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Anna Baltzer is a Jewish American former Fulbright scholar, granddaughter of Holocaust refugees, and author of Witness in Palestine: A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories. Anna will report on the conflict and the exciting Palestinian-Israeli nonviolence movement and discuss ways people in the US can contribute to a just peace.

Baltzer sheds light on the important political, historical, and emotional complexities of the challenges facing Israel and Palestine. --Jim Doyle, Governor of Wisconsin

I can't see the benefit of a program that presents only
from one side. The speaker is well known, apparently very
bright, and very one-sided in her point of view. How that
advances anything, I am not sure.

I am slightly amused that the word "Jewish" is repeated
and repeated and repeated, yet the speaker is known for
    her pro-Palestinian, anti-israel rhetoric.

Surely a balanced program would be of more benefit.

also to note... this talk is scheduled for the first day of Rosh
Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, one of the High Holy Days
    in the Jewish calendar.

this way they do not have to worry about those Jews
    attending.

BTW, folks should not confuse the Brattleboro Area Interfaith
Initiative with the well respected Brattleboro Area Clergy
Association, which would not have scheduled an anti-Israel
    speaker on Rosh Hashana.

As a member of the well respected Brattleboro Area Interfaith Initiative, may I invite you to come and participate in the events to balance the program.

Keep the dialogue going - I always welcome reinforcement to the decision made in my youth to abandon religion altogether - that the only way to live in peace is to live without religion.
Now, if I could only abandon politics.....
    Yes. It Is.

There will be peace in the middle east when Jesus Christ returns and sets foot on the Mount of Olives. Until then no. Man will not allow it in his sinful nature.

    Is it possible?

I certainly think so. New Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are about to be launched, and I am looking forward to hearing Anna report on the exciting Palestinian-Israeli nonviolence movement and discuss ways people in the US can contribute to a just peace.

Meant to say: ....Are you referring to the US or the American people sending support $$ to Gaza?, if so I don't think they need it!. . . . .
