    Otiss’s Opinion of Obama
    Sunday, August 29 2010 @ 10:11 AM GMT+5
    Contributed by: Phillip Brown

Opinion I have watched and studied our elected President, Barack Obama, for over a year and a half, and I have made some decisions about him, which are my personal opinions, only.

It is my belief and opinion that Mr. Obama is a Muslim, and that is the only way to put it! I know that our society wants to teach, that one can be Muslin and a Christian, but one, cannot. For one can only truly worship, one GOD, and Muslins and Christians worship different ones. Either one, believes in Jesus or Muhammad! One cannot walk between the two faiths as our President Obama is doing. Which makes me wonder, which one does he believe in his heart, which one does he walk with daily, as a Muslim are as a Christian?

One thing is for sure, he reaches out more to Muslims than to Christians. He attempted to ignore the regular White House’s observance of the National Day of Prayer, which has been recognized by some degree by every President since Reagan. I wonder, if he would have ignored it all together, but no, he found a way to use the day and called the Muslim call to prayer, “one of the prettiest sounds in earth.”

** It is so simple to understand and believe the truth,
** For Christian worship Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Then God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and he fathered the patriarchs of the twelve tribes of Israel.
    ** The Muslims worship Allah.
** The Muslim’s holy book is the Koran, which tells its followers to mistreat Christians and Jews.
** The Christian’s holy book is the Bible in which God says that he who blesses Israel, He will bless, and he who curses Israel, He will curse.
** It is totally impossible for them to be one and the same.

Now, tell me why, is our government, educational institutions, news networks, and media been working so hard to establish in our minds, as everyday American citizens, that most Muslims are Peace loving and the terrorist is extremist. (I guess, I should not use the word terrorist, as Obama, tells us it is wrong). However, in simple English, they are attempting to defuse a national outrage against the terrorist ‘attackers 911’, while hoping to prevent a black last against Muslins living in America.

It is the same, with the proposed Muslim cultural center and mosque near the World Trade Center site. Why is Obama, pushing this forward, if he is not, Muslim? After ‘9-11” the site was considered as Holy Ground. It is something we as Americans cannot forget, just as the world should never forget, what happen that day and why!

In my opinion, the proposed Muslim cultural center and mosque near the World Trade Center site, has to be stopped. I bet, I would be stopped, if I wanted to build a teaching center about Nazism, anywhere close to a Jewish center are even the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. What if I wanted to teach about the Klan and start a white race church close to anywhere civil rights memorials are? I know for sure, I would be stopped, not by lawsuits, by the government, itself....

Next, in my own personal opinion, I believe that our dear President Obama is more socialist than a capitalist, and that he would like to see America become a total socialist state. America that has a colossal central government that would control everything from Health care, gasoline, well, everything we know.

I also believe that our President believes and wants to see our American in a global government. A government that would take over running everything in our plant, they would control and levy all taxes and allocate all goods in the name of protecting us all. This global government would have a one world currency and a one seat of power. There would be NO! ‘one republic for which it stands,’ NO! ‘one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all,’ however, there would be a “One World Government.”

One of the first steps our President has taken in this plan of his, is his cap and trade legislation, which is nothing more than a bald face attempt to hand the sovereignty of the United States of America over to the corrupt and inept United Nations or some other worldwide organization.

In my opinion, President Obama is a sold out Muslin and a globalist. Furthermore, it seems that he has a problem with his ego; it seems he can say and do whatever, he wants, but someone else cannot question him. The problem that comes in with the ego, is he will allow our nation to go down in financial ruin before he will even attempt to say he is wrong about the economy and his policies.

To go along with the ego problem, Obama is an elitist, a person who thinks that Ivy League degrees, as Harvard, mean more than common sense. This is proven, over and over again by his appointed cabinet of friends, who are unrealistic and have no knowledge of what it takes to live as an American in the real world.

What so sad about all of this is, in my opinion, our President does not understand our military and what their job is to do and not to do. It seems as if he plays with them, as if they are on a board game in the Oval Office. I also believe that Obama does not believe in the sanctity of life, and he has proven that by supporting radical abortion legislation.

With our President, not believing in the sanctity of life, not having an understanding of the military, being an elitist with a major ego problem, a globalist, a socialist, and Muslin, shows he is not able to handle the job of being the President of the United States of America, our leader. In my personal opinion, Obama is in over his head; he got thrown in the swimming pool, and did not learn to swim. The same is with his cabinet, the people in his special circle of friends and others around him.

Finally, I cannot forget about the United States Congress, if they allow this President and pass his dangerous and disastrous programs they are just as guilty as he is of destroying us all.

In my opinion, I look at the Congress and the President and say that we all need to Pray for them and ask for guidance, guidance to follow the true God and HIS will for our country and the true God cannot be found in the Qur’an. Pray, that we will not wake up, one morning to discover, a Muslin flag, flying over the White House.

Now, do not get me wrong, I do not hate Muslins in any way; I understand that they are lost souls, which need to find their way to Jesus. However, I do come against any religion:

** That wants to destroy Christians,
** a religion that teaches that Jesus was never crucified, that someone else died on that cross.
** I come against a religion that teaches that Jesus is not the Son of GOD.

For I know and wish, for all Muslins to know, as I do, that Jesus died, sinless, on the cross, for everyone and arose for them. That there is only one true GOD: in three parts, as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy Ghost. To know the truth, that Allah is not GOD, as Muhammad is not and he was not a prophet of God and that the Qur’an is not the Word of GOD.

As it was stated at the “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington D.C. on August 28th, 2010, “We must restore America and restore her honor,” by the former “Alaska governor, Sarah Palin.” Also, Glen Beck exhorted the crowd to "recognize your place to the creator. Realize that he is our king. He is the one who guides and directs our life and protects us."

The leaders at the rally asked the audience to pray more and just as they stated I agree with all my heart and soul
"I ask, not only if you would pray on your knees, but pray on your knees but with your door open for your children to see,"

    Well, that’s my opinion!

Oh, great. Another argument based in religion. It's a double dipper, to boot - a christian being accused of being a muslim.

I know you are just expressing your "opinion" and appreciate we have a place to do just that. I don't expect to change your opinion in any way, but I do feel compelled to point out that your "opinion" of Muslims in general; Christianity in general; and what is right or wrong is disturbing.

Timothy McVeigh was a Christian AND a terrorist. That doesn't make Christianity evil. Many other atrocities and acts of terrorism have also been done in the name of Christianity for centuries. You cannot write off a whole religion, culture, human lives because they do not believe what you have been taught to believe. That to me is so NOT what Christianity is supposed to be about.
Tolerance, acceptance, peace..you cannot pretend to believe one thing and then spout another thing because people are different than you or believe different things than you.
And to compare 911 to what happened to the Jews under the Nazi regime is not in any way historically correct. Rather, a more pertinent example is the systematic killing, torturing and terrorist acts that Christians have done to people who do not believe what they believe and FOR CENTURIES.
911 was tragic, but I will not condemn a whole culture because of it.
Really, what would Jesus do or say about this? Seriously, its just know wonder people don't choose to believe in religion when there is so much hate, hypocrisy, intolerance and overall misinformation built in.
Just my opinion, ,as a person who grew up Christian but cannot understand how people who say they are Christian spout so much hate towards others.

Phillip, get to know someone in your community who is Muslim. It might be good for you to recognize that though they may believe differently than you about God, still deserves to be respected as a human being.

but your disregard for the truth is shameful.

Oh Jesus Mary and Joseph here we go again with the right wing assault on our intelligence. Anyone remember Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's minister that the right wing claimed was a racist and so must Obama be, if he was so attached to that CHRISTIAN church. Here's what Obama said to those idiots then.

"Every man is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." –Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan

If you're stating a point of fact, you have to bring up a non-faith based factual basis for it. If Barack were a Muslim, there would be factual evidence to back it up. A practicing Muslim has to pray five times a day. Or he's not a Muslim. No exceptions. I think if Barack were praying five times a day, someone would have caught him at it by now.

Note: The above appears to be a misquote and misattribution: It was stated by Bernard M. Baruch (1870-1965) and should read "Every man has a *right* to his own opinion, but no man has a *right* to be wrong in his facts.”

But anyway, I think you get the idea.

I know I am not the only person to observe this point:

If Obama WERE a Muslim it would still be none of anyone's business!

There is no religious requirement to be the President of the US, no matter how many people wish there were. The same people wish there were a color requirement, and don't bother trying to deny it with the "I'm not a racist, but..." crap. Any self-definitive statement followed by the word "but" may be regarded as bullshit.

Doesn't matter who you think the president prays to... your "opinion" of it is irrelevant.

    Authored by: tomaidh on Monday, August 30 2010 @ 10:58 AM GMT+5
** It is so simple to understand and believe the truth,
    #####This is a fact.
** For Christian worship Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Then God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and he fathered the patriarchs of the twelve tribes of Israel.
    #####This is a Biblical “Fact”
    ** The Muslims worship Allah.
#####Also a fact, but one grossly misunderstood. “Allah” is the Arabic name for Jehovah. It translates as “THE God”. Arabic speaking Christians such as Maronite Catholics and Syrian Orthodox also use the word.
** The Muslim’s holy book is the Koran,
    ##### Factual enough, but only a partial truth. They also accept the Old and New Testaments. They consider the Koran the “Final Testament”.
#####Muslims regard the Qur’an as the main miracle of Muhammad, as proof of his prophethood, and as the culmination of a series of divine messages. These started, according to Islamic belief, with the messages revealed to Adam, regarded in Islam as the first prophet, and continued with the Scrolls of Abraham, the Torah or Pentateuch of Moses, the Book of Psalms of David, and the Gospel of Jesus.
#####BTW. the woman most frequently mentioned in the Koran is Mary, the mother of Jesus. In fact, she is mentioned more in the Qur'an than in the entire New Testament. She enjoys a singularly distinguished and honoured position amongst women. A chapter in the Qur'an is titled "Maryam" (Mary), in which the story of Mary and Jesus is recounted.
**which tells its followers to mistreat Christians and Jews.
    ##### Also false. In fact, the Koran requires Muslims to respect “People of the Book”, The “Book” is the Bible, and the “People of the Book” are Christians and Jews.
#####” Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.”

And one more fact: I am not a Muslim, but I totally disagree with the currently fashionable movement to demonize them.

The problem, dear, is that people are not really entitled to opinions about absolutely everything. People are waiting for Phillip to explain how it comes about that he thinks he can form an "opinion" about things that are facts. It's like deciding you're of the opinion that gravity isn't real. OK, fine, but that does not mean you actually start flying. It's not censorship; it's a conversation. No one is even suggesting that anyone else stop talking.

I do not find more truth or error in any of the Abrahamic religions one over the other. They all are based on different interpretations of common stories/myths from that place and time. They spring from a common root.

So I do not want to defend Islam against Christianity here, or vice versa. But for somebody to claim that somehow Christianity is less dark and vengeful than Islam is simple ignorance, and clear proof that most Christians have not actually even read their own book!

I do think you are very intelligent, although misguided most of the time. You know I have been following the LTC Lakin case which ultimately may prove once and for all if Obama is eligible to be POS, which I believe he is not. Now a retired 3 star general has come out in support of LTC Lakin. The general’s affidavit is here:

    LTC LAKIN UPDATE

I would appreciate your opinion regarding this case and the general’s concerns, since you are a veteran and one who has lived in the world of military chain of command . I've already commented on the LTCs absurd claim. As to the General's "affidavit," it adds nothing to the claim. You may think it's a "good read," I just noticed that he cites no military regulation, training manual, or SOP, or doctrine - in short, it's just some guy's opinion based on his misunderstanding of the difference between a "lawful" order and a "legal" order. An order to deploy is a lawful order.

Imagine the chaos in the military if any dingbat could refuse a lawful order because he or she believes some absurd rumor circulating in the conspiracy world. When I was stationed in Germany we had a group of like-minded geniuses in another unit who, like LTC Awol, "knew" that the world was going to end, and if they went to Pensacola, FL, they would be saved by UFOs. They were prosecuted and discharged.

Excerpts from Retired Air Force Lieutenant General Thomas McInerney that make perfect sense, for those that care to be informed.

"In refusing to obey orders because of his doubts as to their legality, LTC Lakin has acted exactly as proper training dictates. That training mandates that he determine in his own conscience that an order is legal before obeying it...Indeed, he has publicly stated that he "invites" his own court martial, and were I the Convening Authority, I would have acceded to his wishes in that regard. But thus stepping up the bar, LTC Lakin is demonstrating the courage of his convictions and his bravery. That said, it is equally essential that he be allowed access to the evidence that will prove whether he made the correct decision.

For the foregoing reasons, it is my opinion that LTC Lakin's request for discovery relating to the President's birth records in Hawaii is absolutely essential to determining not merely his guilt or innocence but to reassuring all military personnel once and for all for this President whether his service as Commander in Chief is Constitutionally proper. He is the one single person in the Chain of Command that the Constitution demands proof of natural born citizenship. This determination is fundamental to our Republic, where civilian control over the military is the rule. According to our Constitution, the Commander in Chief must now, in the face of serious-- and widely held-- concerns that he is ineligible, either voluntarily establish his eligibility by authorizing release of his birth records or this court must authorize their discovery. The invasion of his privacy in these records is utterly trivial compared to the issues at stake here. Our military MUST have confidence their Commander in Chief lawfully holds this office and absent which confidence grievous consequences may ensue.

I take the word of the State of Hawaii on this. They've
repeated stated that his birth certificate is on file in the
Hawaii State Department. "The certificate shows his full
name to be "Barack Hussein Obama II," it lists his father's
race as "African" and his mother's as "Caucasian," it
contains no information about religion, and it reports his
    birthplace as being Honolulu, Hawaii."

These lawsuits don't pass the smell test, and judges toss
    them. A lawsuit/accusation against someone doesn't mean
they are guilty. Many people seem to forget this.

(And, say I'm wrong - we want him removed so Biden can

Think about it, during the campaign a birth certificate was circulated via move-on or was it Huffington, but Obama states he has never released it. Since then, the circulated one was shown to be a fake. But they stood on it's authenticity then and essentially gave birth to the birthers..

...but Obama could put and end to this. Why hasn't he released his birth certificate, school records etc.. all from someone who claims to be "transparent...". his predecessor released all his records... How can some not think he is hiding something.

I think you mean "don't think about it." That's what the birthers really need people to do. Just don't think. Believe.

Obama's birth certificate wasn't "shown to be a fake," it was shown to be a copy - the same kind of copy anyone born in Hawaii in 1961 would get if they asked for copy of their birth record today. It looks just like the copy of my Hawaiian marriage certificate that I got some 15 years after my marriage to my ex-wife. (Maybe Alan will think I was married in Kenya.)

Conicidentally, if you ask for a copy of your Vermont birth certificate, it will no longer look like the original. Vermont has substituted a fancy certificate paper for the plain paper that the original documents were printed on. Perhaps Alan thinks the copy of my birth certificate - the only copy I have, since the original was lost or destroyed long ago - is also a fake, since I can't "produce" one that looks like the one mailed to my mother, lo those many years ago.

So where does that leave me? Unborn and unmarried. Sounds like conspiracy.

What Obamma circulated was a certificate of live birth, not an actual birth certificate. Simple research validates this fact and will explain the difference. The only actual birth certificate to surface, surfaced in Kenya where residents there proudly claim he was born in kenya. You can rant all you want in blind defense of your leader but history will ultimately prove me right. If you want to call me a birther because this is what I believe, fine, I'll consider it a badge of honor. Your snopes and fact check answer to the powers that be. Are you not aware of the concerted effort over the past several years to keep all of Obama's records and writings under wraps. I wonder what they are afraid of.

Your socialist leader is leading our country into the toilet and you blindly look the other way as you loyaly defend him every step of the way. Obama was born in Kenya. Obama was at one time an Indonesian citizen in the family of his adopted father. He was raised by socialist and communist leaning parents and grand parents. Three years ago the national debt was 160 billion. Obama has pushed it to 1.3 trillion and the economy still withers away. He is leading this country into bankruptcy and following the Cloward and Pivan strategy to bring this country to it's knees from within. He is an atheist disguised as a christrian who only attended Rev Wrights church of Hate America for for 20 years and when that became a political problem, he just stopped going to church as he quietly does away with National Prayer Day and revs up Ramadan celebrations. Are you kidding me? HE IS NOT ONE OF US. Somebody has to stand up and force the issue of his eligibility to be POTUS and not the POS that he actually is.

Yes, I get that he said the word "training." But what "training" was it? Everything, and I mean everything, in the military is done according to a written guideline whether it's a training manual, a regulation, a federal statute, or the Uniform Code of Military Justice. If there was any actual "training" in which military personnel are instructed that they may disobey a lawful order because of "suspicion," surely the general would have revealed this landmark document in his affidavit.

The basic problem for LTC Awol is that he refused a lawful order from a legal source - whether it was his direct commander or Milpercen. President Obama didn't send him personalized orders, or drop by the base to personally order him to deploy, so it doesn't matter whether the President is a Fish Monster from Planet 9 - that's "above his pay grade," as they say.

He took an oath to obey the orders of the officers above him. He doesn't have a legal leg to stand on, and one can hope that he'll get the psychiatric help he needs while he's at Leavenworth. Which would be good news for the kooks, because they can just add it into their conspiracy narrative as "proof" of a cover-up.

If the legal source ie chain of command is broken (contaminated), which we believe it is, he deserves his day in court with all the discovery necessary to prove or disprove his assertions.

Oh, he deserves his day in court, alright, but to answer for his actions, not to interrogate his command. What an absurd notion.

"he just stopped going to church as he quietly does away with National Prayer Day and revs up Ramadan celebrations. Are you kidding me? HE IS NOT ONE OF US."

Well uhm actually AlanF National Prayer Day wasn't held this year because there was a standing suit in court and it would have been inappropriate or perhaps even illegal while the concept was being questioned for it's constitutionality. HE IS NOT ONE OF US. You know AlanF this is quite unseemly but then adopting that label as well as more I can't mention here seems to suit you and make you happy. So be it but don't you pick on Maus because if and when you do you are in way over your head my dear, the Maus can run circles around your silly little Fox/Beck/Hannity/Rush theories. Maus rocks, you sink like a small minded stone to the bottom of the stinky slimy sinkhole.

I understand that it is normal for people of your ilk to be just plain nasty when your beliefs are challenged, hence the way you wrapped up your comment above. It validates a lot for me. I also don't think Maus needs you to cheer lead for him. You sound like the little brother trying egg big brother into a fight. The fact is that Maus is one of the few people here that intrigues me. I do appreciate his humor and his straight at you responses. So Spud, have a good day.

I don't think Maus needs a champion I was just trying to give you fair warning AlanF but heh, go right ahead and try to take him on. glub glub glub (the sound of you sinking into your Bush created toilet.
You have a real nice day yourself AlanF, that is if you can relax at all while the world is going to h*ll in a handbasket.

    Opinion turns to Violence

Opinion is all very well, but anti Muslim rhetoric has now spawned violence.

    http://thinkprogress.org/2010/08/29/arson-suspected-tennessee-mosque/

Violence directed toward mosques and Muslim faithful here will ultimately lead to violence against Christians and their churches elsewhere.

Ultimately, if you want your religion to thrive and flourish you need to be a good representative of that religion. Spreading hate and fear does not accomplish that.

"Spreading hate and fear does not accomplish that."

Where's the hate and fear in this opinion peace. It's seems you can't say anything these days without setting off the hair trigger of the politically/culturally incorrectness crowd. I think it's terrific that Otiss took the time to lay it out as he see's it. I don't see it as fear mongering or spreading hate.

I realize that any attempt to cast Obama in a negative light in this forum goes against the grain of most here. But the fact of the matter is that Obama's approval ratings have plummeted. It is clear the majority of Americans do not approve of his policies or of him as they once did. Yet it seems that you folks (the active ones here) just can't admit that the guy is leading this country in a direction it does not want to go. He is on course to bankrupt America. He want's to raise our taxes substantially to pay for his big government spending spree. He rams through an 870 Billion stimulus bill that was not much more than crony payback and very little stimulus. The economy continues to sputter. He can't seem to bring himself to prosecute Muslim terrorists from Gitmo. His Obamacare is a bust. Healthcare reform was supposed to reduce healthcare costs. It's done the opposite. He sues AZ, he refuses to meet with the Gov of TX, as he refuses to effectively deal with illegal immigration. He refuses to share his records or BC to point where soldiers are beginning to doubt his capacity as Commander in Chief. Probably will go down in history as the most divisive president this country has ever had. Even his own party members are distancing themselves from him. So all you loyal supporters, why do you love this guy so much?

***I realize that any attempt to cast Obama in a negative light in this forum goes against the grain of most here.***

No, not at all. Just any attempt that includes the premise that Obama is a socialist, a "mooozlum" or a foreigner. If you want to criticize him, criticize him. But don't stray into absurd ad hominem and ad ignorantiam ranting and expect others to simply accept your premise - if that's what you want, just write it in crayon and put it on your refrigerator.

    Where's the Hate & Fear - Seriously?
    Authored by: paulgardner on Friday, September 03 2010 @ 08:19 AM GMT+5
"Where's the hate and fear in this opinion peace."

AlanF, you're a smart guy. You argue well and passionately for the things you believe in and I respect you.

But I'm not going to let you fall back on that "political correctness" crap. For one thing I AM a socialist/liberal and folks like me have been virtually at war with this white house for following Bush doctrines in lockstep. Criticize Obama all you want. Just criticize him for something real and quit making stuff up.

Take a look at the following quotes from Phillip's original piece and tell me you don't see the fear in them:

"our President believes and wants to see our American in a global government"

"One of the first steps our President has taken in this plan of his, is his cap and trade legislation, which is nothing more than a bald face attempt to hand the sovereignty of the United States of America over to the corrupt and inept United Nations or some other worldwide organization."

"In my opinion, President Obama is a sold out Muslin and a globalist."

"he will allow our nation to go down in financial ruin before he will even attempt to say he is wrong"

"our President does not understand our military and what their job is to do and not to do. It seems as if he plays with them, as if they are on a board game in the Oval Office."

"With our President, not believing in the sanctity of life,"

"Obama is in over his head; he got thrown in the swimming pool, and did not learn to swim."

"I cannot forget about the United States Congress, if they allow this President and pass his dangerous and disastrous programs they are just as guilty as he is of destroying us all."

"Pray, that we will not wake up, one morning to discover, a Muslin flag, flying over the White House."

I don't doubt, AlanF, that you agree with everything Phillip says here.
However, I give you far more credit than I give Phillip. I believe, based on your past writings here that you would have cited some sources instead of speaking in a purely emotional, nonfactual (even opinions should be based in fact) way. Anyone writing here or elsewhere has to know that they are not going to be taken seriously by intelligent people if they speak/write this way.

I'm not going to take apart these quotes piece by piece here, because I think the fear and hate is obvious. If you still don't see it, though, I will.
