It is no longer around, being used, anyway. That used to be a fun thing to do, taking a trip on the Belle of Brattleboro.

It's parked at the garage near where the Marina Restaurant is going to be rebuilt, but she no longer is in service. It was always so much fun to take visitors on that tour. But I don't think we supported it enough to make the numbers work for the business. Too bad. I miss it.

In its absence, I've been enjoying the occasional whistle
toot coming from that steam-powered boat.

Paddle boats usually run about $1500 or so for a basic
model, last time I checked (and yes, I'm the type who
does occasional check). Someone should buy some and
rent them out. Maybe the canoe place would be interested
in expanding with a paddle boat partner. : )

A North end to south end water taxi would be cool, too.

    We underuse our rivers, transportation-wise.

Not much snow this January. I'm guessing February will end up
warm and spring-like; birds return and flowers bloom
    cold, but not snowy

    mild with little snow
