You were born a healer! Each and every one of us is born with the gift and ability to help ourselves and others heal physically, mentally, and spiritually. This is one of the foundational teachings of Spring Forest Qigong.
Qigong (chee gong) is an ancient form of exercise that is 5,000 years old. In China, qigong is one of the secrets to living a long and healthy life. The simple movements induce a calm, meditative state that relaxes the mind, improves one’s health, and enhances the quality of life. When practiced regularly, qigong can greatly improve symptoms and the underlying cause of many disease, including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, cancer, and many other chronic illnesses. It is also an excellent form of preventative healthcare.
Spring Forest Qigong’s (SFQ) main principle is the most powerful force in the universe is unconditional love. When we are able to let go of our fears and doubts and connect with this unconditional love energy the faster and deeper we can heal ourselves and others. This unconditional love energy is cultivated through the practice of the SFQ’s simple active exercises and meditations.
Participates in the workshop will learn the general principles of Chinese Medicine and qigong, the SFQ qigong active and meditation exercises, and participate in individual and group healing sessions. In addition, all participants will receive an extensive manual (book) and audio CD for meditation practice. There are no special requirements; people of all ages and backgrounds can practice qigong and enjoy the benefits.
The workshop will be on Sunday September 26 from 10AM – 5PM. The cost is $75 (in advanced) $90 (at the door). The workshop will be held at Medicine for the People at 133 Main St. (behind the Front Porch Café) in Putney.
The workshop will be taught by Thomas Garbarino, licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and certified Spring Forest Qigong instructor.
