I believe we are all putting out something like a "personal electromagnetic energy" that does all kinds of things vibration-ally that we barely know of. Life is more than it seems, including all life forms even plants.
We have barely an inkling of what is going on here. Dowsing for example is one small demonstration of it. Taichi studies this mysterious energy, calling it "chi." NBA basketball players depend on it, to play at a level they themselves can't explain. Creating great art depends on it too.
Cats show up not by chance. It apparently can't be approached scientifically, because the conditions of experiment stop it from happening. The Tao has to flow naturally, can't be forced at all.
Relevant quotes:
"Under the conditions of scientific experiment ... the person experiences boredom rather than excitement, and so the evidence for ESP disappears. That is why scientific experiment fails. The experiment necessarily excludes the human emotions that make ESP possible."
Freeman Dyson, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey
"I'll suggest that these transactions are characterized by a paradox that helps explain why we haven't acknowledged them, must less found ways to understand them. They reflect human capacities to which we can't gain access in customary ways. They're peculiar capacities in that they're least likely to become available when we deliberately try to access them. We cannot reach these new sources simply by "tuning in" to something new; paradoxically, we must also "tune out" much of the ordinary information that continually bombards our senses."
Elizabeth Lloyd Mayer, Ph.D, author of "Extraordinary Knowing."
