    OpinionFrom news reports:

#NH bill would deny mothers a raise in welfare benefits if she has child after going on assistance.

#The same-sex marriage movement is about to face a critical test, as New Hampshire lawmakers prepare to vote on a proposal to repeal the state's 2009 gay marriage law.

#Starting with the New Year, pregnant girls seeking abortions must tell their parents or get a judge’s OK under a requirement reinstated by conservative Republicans over a gubernatorial veto.

I find it interesting that small government NH conservatives have no problem with the government trying to enforce morality as they define it.

Misery Loves Company like New Hampshire Loves Hypocrisy.

This makes me very happy to not live in New Hampshire! For quite awhile now Massachusetts has had that same law about mothers not receiving additional financial aid if they have another child while on assistance. That was put into effect during the brief period of time that Romney was the governor.

"pregnant girls seeking abortions must tell their parents or
    get a judge’s OK"

Another bold step to criminalize being a woman. Why not just
    put the girls in jail?

This will lead to secretive, self-administered abortions, not
    prevent them.
