Advocating for yourself or a loved one within our health care system can be a challenge.

On Monday, February 13, 2012, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Gary Hilliard, a Case Management Supervisor for Senior Solutions and an experienced advocate for seniors in our community, will present Speak Up: Advocating for Your & Your Family’s Health Care Quality. This session is part of the Wellness in Windham County series and will take place in the Brew Barry Conference Room at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Hilliard will give tips on how to communicate with doctors and other providers, how to ask for what you need, and the dos and don’ts of advocating for oneself and others. Ray Walker will join Hilliard at the session, speaking specifically on advocating for your and your loved one’s advanced directives.
