rfb took over the River Garden in Brattleboro to celebrate five years of community broadcasting. DJ's spun discs, people ate food and talked, and signatures were collected to support the effort to get our community radio station back on the air.

Afrotronica was one of the bands performing.

People danced like mad. The full moon must be having an effect.

Even people using crutches couldn't resist the grooves.

The Conducters finished off the evening, band-wise.
If you were there, feel free to add your comments. if you weren't there, make sure you get in touch with rfb and sign the petition.
You can listen to rfb on the Internet. Visit their site at www.rfb.fm.

What struck me was how much rfb has done for the community.
There were long lists of DJ's trained, businesses that helped,
guests interviewed, etc., plus lots of photos and flyers of past
events.
The Free rfb shirts looked great, too.
I'm hoping the Town will step up and take a stand on this,
insisting that our mountian-surrounded area deserves a tiny 10
watt station.
WFCR in Central Massachusettes filed one of the 2 complaints.
They have no right telling us what we can listen to here. I may
start filing complaints against them - their signal is interfering
with my favorite stations here. The other came from one
person... in Guilford. Thanks, Guilford, we love you, too.
Hey NPR, we used to switch between rfb and NPR stations all the
time. With no rfb, we don't even bother turning the radio on, so
you just lost listeners, too. Hope you feel good.
If there was a big public outcry in town against rfb, then it would
be debatable. But this town loves rfb, and vice-versa.
No rfb, adding a home depot...what is this, the new jersey
turnpike? I came to Brattleboro because it is different than
everywhere else. If it becomes just like the other places I've
lived, there is NO reason to stay.
- a local listener, listening to rfb on the internet but wanting it
back on my radio.
