Make Your Own TV - And Get Good At It!

I'd like to add that if you are unable to attend all of the classes required
for certification, consider going and learning part of the process. Video
productions often require teamwork, and knowing a piece of the process
    is valuable.

    Nice lineup of classes.

    SIGN UP Through BCTV Office
    Authored by: Jigme on Friday, August 12 2005 @ 11:50 AM GMT+4
The Training Intensive sign-ups are arranged through the BCTV office
    between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. most weekdays. These are NOT drop-in
classes and you must pre-register to participate. Call 257-0888.

Each workshop, depending on the subject, has different maximum
limits. For example, editing classes are limited to the number of
    computer workstations (3 x 2, or 4 x 2 people)... while the lighting,
field sound, and directing/producing workshops can have a maximum
    of 12 people.

To take charge of your own production it's good to learn camcorder,
field sound and editing at a minimum. Lighting control, directing and
post-production sound are ideal additional skills to include. Anyone
wishing to enhance what you know, learn a skill from scratch, or to
become a specialist in one aspect of video or sound production is
welcome to take one or just a few workshops.

These workshops are NOT training for studio or multi-camera
productions, but rather for Small Crew or Single Crew location
recording (indoors or out) with one camcorder... and a sound person,
if needed. Well-executed and flexible use of uncomplicated setups.

By the way, we're looking for housing for the (possibly two) volunteer
teachers from New York for three nights. Feel free to call me at 254-
3975 or write michaelb@sover.net if you have questions about the
    workshops. Bix
