Peter Vale, the Nelson Mandela Chair of Politics at Rhodes University in South Africa, gives a firsthand account of life in South Africa since F.W. de Klerk and Mandela were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for working to end apartheid. Vale has just completed co-editing a book on Social Theory in South Africa. He is also working on a cartoon history of South African foreign policy and a manuscript on the history of thought in South African International Relations. |
