Martin Luther King Jr - The Making of a Peacemaker

Date & Time:
Jan 20 2014 - 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Join us for this wonderful MLK jr. celebration "The Making of a Peacemaker", sponsored by the Brattleboro Area Interfaith Clergy Association!

As a community event, it is open to all ages and persuasions - as is the spaghetti dinner beforehand, all at Centre Congregational Church. Dinner at 6, celebration 7-8 pm.

Becky Graber will direct the Brattleboro Women's Chorus; Andy Davis will direct a children's chorus, and Peter Amidon has invited the community to join a chorus he will direct with rehearsal at 6 pm at the church, prior to the event. There will also be sing-alongs. Woven through the music will be a short video, power point and interactive conversation, encouraging each of us to become peacemakers and justice seekers in our lives, our communities and our world.

Dinner starts at 5:00

We will start serving the spaghetti dinner at 5:00 so that participants in the service can have a chance to relax and eat before rehearsing if they wish, and so members of the public can dine at a leisurely pace. Come one, come all, the more the merrier!
