Ben Falkoff - Hoarders of Magnitude Album Release in Greenfield

Date & Time:
Aug 27 2017 - 7:00pm - 11:00pm

Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to present Northampon-based guitarist and composer Ben Falkoff, performing his album release concert, on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). The concert will be held at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center, 289 Main St., Greenfield, MA. Advance tickets are $8 and available at http://hawksandreed.com (tickets at the door are $10).

Combining the abstract with the unmistakable, Northampton-based guitarist and composer Ben Falkoff brings a fresh perspective on tradition. His style artfully fuses rich, chromatic harmonies with tuneful melodies, exploring musical affects which obscure the boundaries of jazz, funk, and R&B.

Falkoff’s debut release Hoarders of Magnitude (2017) puts on full display his prowess as a writer, as well as his bluesy, soulful guitar work. The album features a bodacious quintet of B3 organ, tenor sax, guitar, drums, and electric bass, collectively weaving together grooves that you can’t help but dance to.
