Sunday Poetry Reading: Art as Witness in a Time of Dissent

Date & Time:
Feb 19 2017 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

This Sunday, Vermont Poet Laureate Chard DeNiord will host a reading with some of the region’s most celebrated poets, including Martin Espada, Doug Anderson, Robin MacArthur, Bianca Stone, and Verandah Porche. The program will focus on poetry as an act of witness and art-making in a time of oppression and political dissent.

DeNiord taught at The Putney School from 1989 to 1998, and we are thrilled to support his work mobilizing poets, touching audiences, and invoking poetry to tackle critical challenges of the moment.
