Vermont Center for Photography 2018 Open Juried Exhibition

The Twentieth Anniversary Year celebration at the Vermont Center for Photography in Brattleboro VT continues with the

2018 Open Juried Exhibition opening on Friday March 2, 2018. Juror, Shane Lavalette has

chosen 29 photographers from 12 states and Hong Kong for inclusion. Lindsay Richard of Brattleboro VT, Tara Wray of

Woodstock VT, and Kimberluy Lockwood of Holyoke MA are the regional photographers included.

Shane Lavalette is an American photographer, independent publisher, and the director of Light Work, a non-profit in Syracuse, New York. He holds a BFA

from Tufts University in partnership with The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Lavalette’s photographs have been shown widely across the US.

The Vermont Center for Photography has published a limited edition full color exhibition catalog featuring each work selected for the exhibit

plus additional information on each artist which will be for sale.

The opening reception is Friday, March 2, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., during Brattleboro Gallery Walk. The public is welcome. The exhibit will end

on Sunday, April 1. The Vermont Center for Photography, a 501-3-(c) non-profit gallery featuring fine art photography, was founded in 1998.

The gallery represents photographers from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, promoting a regional community of photographers.

The gallery is located at 49 Flat Street next to the parking garage in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday,
