June Board Games at 6 pm June 19th at the Coop Dinning Area

Let's keep it going!

We had 7 last month, join us and make it 8. Bring a favorite game and teach it to us. We're always looking for good games that are new to us (not many of those anymore).

August Game Night This Wednesday at the Coop

At 6pm (not sharp. We wander in between 6 and 6:30) Wednesday, August 21 in the Brattleboro Food Coop dining area there will be another monthly gathering of the Brattleboro area board gamers group. Bring your favorite game and join us!

Cartoon version?

Was it the old, cartoon character version of the game? I saw one for sale used recently at Experienced Goods and was tempted.

As Opposed To?

I guess so?
The cards were drawings rather than photos, if that's what you mean.

I don't own the game either and I think if I saw it at Experienced Goods, I probably would buy it myself, if intact.

Clue

I never wrote a review of last month's "gathering".
Not that there's a lot to tell.
We could muster only 3 - too much going on in real life (one guy actually had to work late, another person had to drive some kids around...). If everybody that has attended in the past could show up every month we'd have a dozen or two people, but life's too hectic for that.

So we played Clue!

That was a nice surprise.
Mike, who is our bringer of games because he has the best collection, has been bringing Clue in hopes he could someday play his old favorite and this seemed to be the time.
It's one of those classics (designed in 1949!) that you played as a kid, and therefore may think of as a kid's game. Clue poses a good mental test for adults as well.

I'm hopeful we'll have a big turnout at 6 pm on Wednesday July 17 at the Coop dining area (we're not punctual - don't freak if you don't see anybody with boardgames there at 6 sharp - we'll trickle in eventually).
