Littlest Pet Shop Toys Stolen  View Printable Version
    Sunday, August 01 2010 @ 09:24 AM GMT+4
    Contributed by: JoanneN

KidsMy daughter had a large collection of Littlest Pet Shop toys she had been collecting for over 3 years. It was a large collection well over a hundred dollars worth. She had left them in a red bin in her yard on Washington street for just a moment while she went to the bathroom and came out to find the whole lot of them gone.

If by chance you thought they were free please bring them back my daughter is heartbroken as she worked hard and spent many many allowance money and time on these. She also had planned to keep them and pass on to her own kids someday. These were important to her.

KidsPreviously I shared with you my son's matrimonial plans, which involved my demise, and his wedded bliss with my wife, his mom, Cynthia.

(See, Freud and Me" on iBrattleboro. Since the time of that post, my son has also proposed to me, as well as my wife, and has announced that when he grows up, he is going to have a big beard, drive a cement truck and live at home with both of us.)

Now, it is my responsibility to share with you my son's latest pronouncement, which is of a much broader, and ecological nature.

Me and Freud  View Printable Version

KidsI have always been disparaging of Freud.

And, on these pages, I have even laughed at modern psychoanalysis.

Truth be told, I am apt to do so in the future.

    Nonetheless,

( or perhaps I should start this sentence with "Therefore")

I feel the need to relate that yesterday my 3 year old boy wept and told his mother,

"I want to marry you. I want dad to be dead, and I want to love you."

YMCA Camp Still Has Openings  View Printable Version
    Tuesday, June 01 2010 @ 04:34 PM GMT+4
    Contributed by: YMCA

KidsThe Meeting Waters YMCA still has openings in its Lewis Day Camp program. Its leaders are reaching out to parents with four “family-centered” qualities of the regional YMCA’s camp. “While there are many benefits to parents and kids, as it relates to parents, we like to stress four themes,” says Meeting Waters YMCA Senior Program Director and Lewis Day Camp Director, Susan Fortier.

“First is our quality. We know that is most important to all parents. Our staff, facilities, curriculum and practices are second-to-none. Second, our camp schedule is based on most parents’ working schedules. Third, we offer bus service from nine Vermont and New Hampshire communities. And, fourth, our rates are very competitive but we have several forms of financial assistance for those who still can not afford our fees.”
