The Smell of Smoke?

I have been smelling smoke in my Frost Place neighborhood for a few days now. Any ideas on from whence it is coming?

Thanks!

  • Hmm...

Is it from the kiln down there? Wood drying, perhaps?

  • Or maybe...

Another thought is maybe people are using fireplaces or burning yard waste?

    • Could be...

No smoky smell today. Too hot for fireplaces? I thought maybe wood drying but this was a fairly intense smell. Maybe I’ll take a walk past there if it happens again.

  • It's the Kiln Dry

I used to live on Frost Street, and can definitely confirm it’s mainly Cersosimo. They burn wood for their primary heating source (I believe it’s wood shavings), and usually that tall stack there takes it up high enough so that no one smells it, but under certain weather conditions it heads down instead of up. The smell usually doesn’t last for more than a day or two.

There are other buildings in area that heat with wood, but unlikely in warmer weather.
