Brattleboro should arm teachers

Comments | 1

my stupid view

My personal, never-used-a-gun view, is that we should allow two types of gun.

Pistols and six-shooters (to allow for duels and showdowns in the streets,) and a shotgun or rifle (for anyone living in the woods who might run into a wild animal.) For those over 21 that pass a test as least as demanding as a driver's test.

As for schools, the goal is to get rid of guns in schools, not add some. If I were a "bad" kid and knew that some teachers had guns on the property, I might be inclined to take those guns and do something with them myself. Or, when the SWAT team descends to respond to an active shooter, they'll aim at anyone holding a gun, shoot first and ask questions later. (There is a form of revenge called SWATTING, too) No need for dead or injured well-meaning teachers.
