African and Caribbean Drumming Class

Experience the joy of drumming through African, Afro-Caribbean, and Brazilian percussion music. Learn drumming technique, traditional ensemble rhythms, and how to create your own rhythms in a supportive class environment. From the rites of passage music of Ghana, to hypnotic trance rhythms from Haiti, experience the transcendent power of drumming to both energize and relax, and facilitate well-being. No prior experience necessary. Conga drums, djembe drums, and other percussion instruments will be provided.

Tuesday evenings – September 24 through November 19, 2019

Tuition: $135 for 9 classes  Beginning level class: 6:00 – 7:15 pm  Intermediate level class: 7:30 – 9:00 pm
