Aging in Place without Isolation: The Sharing Housing Option
Currently, aging boomers who live alone and have a fixed income are finding that affordable and safe housing is becoming is harder to find. In Vermont alone, 29 percent of seniors are on their own. The cost of living alone is high both for both the individual and for society. What’s a cost-efficient solution? Acquiring a home-mate. Sounds like a simple fix, but many people find themselves stumped on how to start their search, the tools they need, and how to implement them.

WHO: Annamarie Pluhar founder of Sharing Housing, Inc., and author of Sharing Housing, A Guidebook for Finding and Keeping Good Housemates. Annamarie will be conducting “Aging in Place without Isolation: The Sharing Housing Option”
