The West Brattleboro Association will host a public forum with candidates for the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Brattleboro’s District 1 (Windham 2-1), which covers the West Brattleboro community. The forum will take place Tuesday, June 19 from 7:00-8:30 pm at the West Brattleboro Fire Station.
There are 2 candidates on the ballot, Valerie Stuart, the incumbent, and Emilie Kornheiser. Both are running for the Democratic Party nomination. Write-in candidates are welcome to participate in the forum.
The community will have the opportunity to hear the candidates’ visions for West Brattleboro and to explore how state policy can make a difference for us, and how the candidates plan to shape that policy.
The party primaries for this seat are on August 14 with early voting running from June 29 to August 13 at the Town Clerk’s office. The general election will be on November 6.
