Friends of Music at Guilford’s 10th Spring Organ Recital features “Mostly Baroque,” a program of solo and ensemble organ works on the c. 1897 Tracker Organ by David Neiweem, UVM college organist and music professor. He will perform pieces by Bolt, Cui, de Cabezón, Richter, and Scheidt, with a few Guilford Chamber Players assisting on a trio sonata by Quantz, for which the organ serves as continuo. A festive and optional Holiday Cookout follows on the deck and back lawn, with the Barn as backup in case of wet weather. Follow signs for 9 mi. from the Guilford Country Store at the junction of Rt. 5 and Guilford Center Rd., a bit over a mile from Exit 1 off I-91; or for 5 mi. from the junction of Keets Brook Rd. and Rt. 5 in Bernardston, Mass. Concert admission: $15; optional meal $10 per person.
