Sharing Your Favorite Passion

The theme of the upcoming meeting of BrattleMasters is “Sharing Your Favorite Passion.” Carolyn Handy of Putney will be the emcee. The public is welcome to attend at no charge. A humorous speech is scheduled which will be evaluated by another Toastmaster.

Free refreshments will be provided during a break in the 90-minute meeting. After the break, another Toastmaster will run a short exercise in “speaking off the cuff” available to everyone including the public. In addition to speeches and evaluations, Club members will give reports on the use of ahs, ums, you know, so and other filler words, grammar, keeping within time limits, and other pluses and minuses of the meeting.

The local Toastmasters club meets twice monthly on the second and fourth Thursdays, 6 p.m., in Room 245 at Vermont Technical College, Brattleboro.
