Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present a socially-distanced lawn concert by contemporary folk singer/songwriters Alisa Amador and Seth Glier on Friday, August 7 at 6:30 pm at Cooper Field in Putney, VT.  Bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seating in distanced pods on the ballfield, and face masks to wear whenever you leave your pod.  Rain date for the concert is Saturday, August 8.

Alisa Amador’s music is a synthesis of the many styles that she’s voraciously absorbed: rock, jazz and alternative folk, all wrapped in the spirit of the Latin sounds she grew up with. With her soulful singing, poetically incisive lyrics and syncopated rhythms, her music is likely to make audiences cry, laugh and dance all within one set.

It was in green rooms, living room rehearsals and cramped mini vans that Alisa received her first musical education, singing backup vocals since the age of five for her parents’ Latin band Sol y Canto.  Years of jazz study, solo performance and training in vocal harmony and improvisation all while pursuing a degree in gender studies at Bates College in central Maine followed. Then, Alisa returned from a life changing trip to Argentina with a renewed belief in the power of music to break down social, political and emotional barriers, and create a space where everyone belongs.

“Alisa Amador is a pitch-perfect rendition of my wildest dreams” – Cyrena Touros, NPR All Songs Considered

Singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, producer and Grammy nominee Seth Glier is renowned for his fearless vocal delivery, musical exuberance and seasoned songwriting beyond his years.  His critically acclaimed, emotionally dense catalog of work often draws upon traditional roots music, experimental instrumentation and moody atmospheres that result in soulfully intelligent stories that can alternatively fight the power or break your heart.

A troubadour in every sense of the word averaging over 150 live performances annually, Seth has released two new songs in 2020 as he builds to a full length album in early 2021and continues to connect with audiences (virtually) using his eclectic, often humorous, and always insightful artistry.  With five albums, five Independent Music Award and even a U.S. State Department-sponsored international tour under his belt, Seth has played with a diverse list of artists such as Ani DiFranco, Martin Sexton, James Taylor, Ronnie Spector and Marc Cohn.
