To communicate is to evolve

March 14, 2019 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

“To communicate is to evolve” is the theme for the next Toastmasters meeting in Brattleboro. The local club, aptly named BrattleMasters, gathers in Room 245 at Vermont Technical College, 41 Harmony Place, Brattleboro, on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Club president Lee Ives Tice will introduce the emcee for the evening, Michelle O’Hearn-Deblois. She will introduce, in turn, a grammarian, a timer, an “ah” counter, a snackmaster, and a general evalutor who will each explain their meeting role. After the group listens to two speeches, an extemporaneous speaking exercise will be run. Guests may participate in this exercise. All speeches are assigned an evaluator who will give a two to three-minute speech mentioning the best attributes of the speech as well as something for the speaker to work on. Free refreshments.

BrattleMasters members live in the tri-state area. Guests are welcome to visit, watch and listen at no charge.
