VOICES is a mixed-media production of sound, image, and language, that provides a provide a conceptual space for performers to explore their versions of truth and authenticity. It debuted in 2016 with the goal of creating a sustainable arts experience that can be adapted to the contributions of different collaborators.

“The show raises questions about how, when, and why we navigate the reality of our everyday lives,” says co-executive producer, Shanta Lee Gander. “The performers and audience will be asked to consider: What are the various versions of truth we enact as we try to live an authentic life? What does being authentic mean amidst multiple selves? How and when do we choose to show these selves, and to whom?”

In addition to faculty member Mac Gander, who is co-executive producer along with his wife, Shanta, several members the Landmark College community contributed to the initial creation of VOICES. Current students Mariah Edson and Marc Thurman will reprise their roles, joined by fellow students Emily McGuire, Clayton Spencer, and Shamarie Anthony-Haines. Faculty and community members who are part of the production, along with the Ganders, include John Rose, Meg Baronian, and Wyatt Andrews.

The event is free and open to the public. The Greenhoe Theater is located in the Fine Arts Building on the Landmark College campus.
