DESCRIPTION:Mitchell•Giddings Fine Arts pays tribute to longtime Putney artist David Rohn\, with Retrospective\, a gallery wide exhibition\, Friday\, April 3\, 5 - 7pm. through June 7. A Directors’ Talk is scheduled for Saturday\, May 2\, 5pm. Many paintings will be on view for the first time.\r \n \r \n Longtime Putney artist David Rohn (1934-2025) was a painter\, teacher\, humorist\, lover of music and poetry\; he has been represented by Mitchell-Giddings Fine Arts for a decade. He lived a simple existence close to the earth and the ordinary objects that informed his paintings. The transparency of his watercolors – with light reflecting back from the white paper through thin veils of color\, is as pure as his freedom and liberation from an art world of expectation and judgement.
