SUMMARY:Annual Easter Treasure Hunt Planned for Guilford Park
DESCRIPTION:Guilford\, VT—The Guilford Community Church is sponsoring its fourth annual free Easter Treasure Hunt at the Guilford Community Park on Saturday\, April 4 at 3 p.m.\, rain or shine. This is an opportunity for children ages 3-13 to enjoy new park with family\, friends and neighbors.\r \n According to organizers\, the Easter Bunny will be hiding “treasures” of toys and treats throughout the Guilford Community Park\, with children then hunting for them among the tulips\, under the new timber-built pavilion\, around the Labyrinth\, in the grass and on the children’s play equipment. In case of inclement weather\, the hunt will move into the church’s Zeller Hall under the sanctuary.\r \n Parents are asked to pre-register their children before Thursday at midnight on April 2 so that there will be enough toys for all participating. Each treasure hunter will receive an individualized clue prior to the non-competitive hunt. Children do not need to bring baskets or containers and do not need to be residents of Guilford.\r \n Accompanying the hunt\, Mary Alice Amidon\, a renowned performer and teacher of traditional music\, will be playing jolly tunes on accordion\, banjo\, fiddle and guitar.  Light refreshments will be available for sale to help support the church’s youth and family programs\, which include Sunday School and a multicultural interfaith youth group focused on service\, fun and peer support.\r \n Directions to 24 Church Drive: 1-91 to Vermont Exit 1 (Brattleboro)\, south on Route 5 to just past the Guilford Country Store\, left on Bee Barn Road\, left again on Church Drive.\r \n To register\, visit this on-line link by April 2: https://forms.gle/VxSfz3LM6d96t3378\r \n For additional information\, please email guilfordchurch@gmail.com or call Debra at 802-257-0994.
