DESCRIPTION:Co-hosted by The Root Social Justice Center and HatchSpace\, our BIPOC Maker Workshops are an opportunity for anyone who self-identifies as Black\, Indigenous\, or a Person of Color to come find and create community around woodworking. All workshops are free\, and designed for beginners - no woodworking experience is necessary!\r \n &gt\;&gt\; Monday\, May 4\, from 5:30 to 8:00pm\r \n Featured Activity: Carve a Wooden SpoonLearn the fundamentals of shaping wood with hand tools like carving knives\, gouges\, and hook knives. This workshop covers essential techniques such as safe knife grips\, grain reading\, and finishing\, all while crafting your own functional wooden spoon.\r \n Cost: Free and open to the BIPOC community. Registration is required to reserve your seat\, but drop-ins may be accepted if space is available.
