SUMMARY:60th Labor Day Weekend Festival Orchestra Concert
DESCRIPTION:Friends of Music at Guilford will celebrate its 60th Labor Day Weekend Festival with an outdoor orchestra concert on Sunday\, September 6 at 3:00 pm on the lawn at the Organ Barn\, on the grounds of The Kopkind Colony\, 158 Kopkind Road\, Guilford VT.\r \n \r \n Conductor Lucinda Ellert will lead the Guilford Festival Orchestra on Gershwin\, Mendelssohn\, and many audience favorites from the past 6 decades.  Vocal additions include sopranos Stephanie Hollenberg and Evelyn McLean\, the Guilford Chamber Singers\, and even the audience itself.\r \n \r \n The grounds open at 2:00 pm for picnicking\; bring your blanket\, food and drinks\, relax and enjoy the rural ambiance of the farm.\r \n \r \n Please allow a full half hour from Brattleboro\, and be conscious of the fact that it's a narrow rural dirt road.\r \n \r \n In the event of rain\, the concert will be moved to the Broad Brook Community Center\, 3940 Guilford Center Road in Guilford\, with announcements made by mid morning.\r \n \r \n For more information and directions\, call 802-254-3600 or email office@fomag.org or find us on Facebook.\r \n \r \n &nbsp\;
