Concert pianist Bill McKim is headlining a Holiday Benefit Concert on Saturday, January 3 at 2:00 pm at the Guilford Community Church.  McKim is an alumnus of the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA where he performed for many years on radio, television and in concert halls such as the Gardner Museum, where he delighted audiences for nearly 20 piano performances.

McKim will perform a selection of holiday-themed pieces, all composed by Charles Lindberg, who transformed simple carols into pieces characterized by dazzling technical virtuosity, clarity of touch, humor, and a sparking, radiant tone described by McKim as “Brillant Pianism”.

Joining McKim will be talented members and friends of the congregation including Vermont All State Jazz Performance 2025 Scholarship Winner, Mariam Diallo, a BUHS senior performing, “A Child is Born” accompanied by Indigo Goldman on piano; instrumentalist Dennis Price performing a flute solo, “In the Bleak Midwinter”; Katharine Breunig performing “Away in a Manger” and “Angels We Have Heard on High”; and a vocal duet by Terry Sylvester and Rachel Johnson performing, “Mary Did You Know”.

No advanced ticket sales. Entry is by donation (cash or check). Complimentary lite refreshments will be served following the concert downstairs in the Zeller Hall. All proceeds from the concert series benefit the church, which is handicapped accessible, and actively supports numerous local programs and organizations serving the wider community.
