Dear neighbors,

On Saturday, April 11, Brattleboro will hold an Open Town Meeting to decide on the warned articles pertaining to our town budget and other important topics. Roberts Rules of Order are used in Vermont for such meetings. I am leading two Zoom meetings if you are interested in having a better understanding of how Town Meeting works.

Roberts Rules for Brattleboro Town Meeting – led by Andy Davis

Monday, April 6, 2026, 7-8 pm on Zoom

Send me an email and I will send you the Zoom link, meeting number and password.

Roberts Rules of Order are the rules by which a town meeting functions as people discuss, debate, inquire, amend and make legally binding decisions about the warned articles.

These trainings on Wednesday, March 24 and Monday, April 6 will prepare participants for the town meeting on April 11. The same material will be covered on both dates. Feel free to attend either, or both sessions.

The Brattleboro Annual Town Report, the warned articles, a Roberts Rules Reference Guide – and other materials – are all available on the town website:

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE TWO TRAINING SESSIONS
