We presume it is not too late to express good wishes, and we therefore take this occasion to tender the salute of a happy New Year to our friends and patrons. We wish them health, peace, and prosperity. We wish them freedom from debt, and the burdens of poverty. We wish them a clear conscience, a cheerful fireside, and a happy home. We wish them ample remuneration for honest industry, and useful enterprise. We wish them an increase in knowledge, in virtue, and every desirable acquisition.
