Co-hosted by The Root Social Justice Center and HatchSpace, our BIPOC Maker Workshops are an opportunity for anyone who self-identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color to come find and create community around woodworking. All workshops are free, and designed for beginners – no woodworking experience is necessary!

Featured Activity: Make a Custom Sign
Participants will learn how to use our to use some common woodworking tools and machines to make a sign board, then learn to use our X-Tool Laser Cutter to engrave a design of their choice on their sign.
Cost: Free and open to the BIPOC community. Registration is required to reserve your seat, but drop-ins may be accepted if space is available.
