Never Forget

I can hear the cries of six million souls pleading to the living to make sure what happened to them never happens again. Yet, our world today is facing a threat too similar to the one that was faced when Hitler and his team of murderers tried to wipe out an entire race of people and dominate the world.

Maybe people who think they understand history do not know what it meant when the Jews who survived the Holocaust told the world that they must be vigilant and never let a tyrant wantonly kill people while removing any possibility of peace.

Trump is a modern day version of Hitler, Mussolini and all of the mentally deranged generals in history who have preceded them.

He is not intent on wiping out a race of people, but he is intent on doing whatever it takes to satisfy his unquenchable ego. He is promoting a form of political purity with his anti-immigration policies.

The evil leaders who Trump admires, including Hitler, are models for his behavior. He does not recognize the laws of man. The only law that he follows is the law of Donald Trump that says he can do whatever he wants. Human lives are meaningless to him and war is just a toy he plays with so that he can feel powerful and order people to carry out illegal acts.

When an evil, deranged person such as Trump comes along it is the obligation of society to stop him. That is the lesson of the Holocaust. When he first rose to power in the runup to his fist election I believed that the American people would understand how misguided he was. I also believed that the Republicans would have enough integrity to throw him under the bus and move on.

Instead, he was worshipped by his party because he was able to convince too many Americans that he was going to save them from an evil that did not exist. They drank the Kool Aid and the rest is history. The Republican party has supported him because he gets a lot of votes, not because he is a noble and upright politician.

All of the people who support Trump have lost their moral compass. They might as well be Holocaust deniers (many are) because they are allowing one man to ignore laws that protect the sanctity of life. Why is there no coalition of politicians working to get rid of Trump? There are only lone voices in the wilderness and that is not enough.

If there ever was a time when the people of this country needed to rise up and make sure the evil machine can do no more harm it is now. There have been fairly large protests around the country, but nothing changes and Trump only feels energized. He will not be satisfied until he takes over as many countries as he can while he is still in office.

Where are the world institutions that are supposed to rein in lawless maniacs like Trump? Do they not see that his end game is world domination at any cost? Do they not see that if he is not stopped that thousands of people will die for no reason other than to satisfy his ego?

My ancestors are crying from their graves and no one is listening.
