Vermont Comedy All Stars Return to Next Stage Arts June 6

Next Stage Arts will host the Vermont Comedy All Stars Live Stand-up Comedy Showcase on Saturday, June 6, bringing together a lineup of comedians from Vermont, Boston, and New York City for an evening of stand-up comedy in Putney.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage Arts, with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

The showcase features Bitsy Biron, Raoul Biron, Maddie Cross, Kendall Farrell, and Gordon Clark.

Bitsy Biron has been performing comedy throughout Vermont and New England since placing in Vermont’s Funniest Comedian Contest in 2014. She has opened for comedians including Dave Attell, Emo Phillips, and Nick Thune at the Vermont Comedy Club, and has also shared stages with Dan Bolger, Jimmy Tingle, and Tony V in Boston. After hosting her own comedy venue, Femcom, in central Vermont and touring throughout New England, Biron is returning to stand-up comedy at Next Stage Arts.

A regular performer at Boston’s Comedy Studio, Raoul Biron has opened for Jordan Jensen and hosted his own showcase, Chuckles Comedy Extravaganza, in Harvard Square. Drawing on his unique life experience and natural charisma, Biron brings an energetic presence to the stage and what he describes as “a good time. Not generally, but like, right now.”

Maddie Cross is a Burlington-based stand-up comedian who has performed throughout Northern New England. She has opened for nationally touring comedians including Kelsey Cook, Laurie Kilmartin, Casey Balsham, and Phil Hanley. Her mother reportedly describes her comedy as “smart” and “confusing.”

Originally from Vermont and now based in New York City, Kendall Farrell was named a “Comic to Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival. He has appeared on SiriusXM and performed at festivals across the country, including the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, Treefort Festival, and Red Clay Comedy Festival. Farrell has opened for Michelle Wolf, Rachel Feinstein, Beth Stelling, Ashley Gavin, and Matteo Lane, among others.

Clark, the show’s producer and host, is the director of the nonprofit Vermont Comedy All Stars, which creates stand-up comedy specials throughout Vermont. Since 2020, he has produced more than 100 comedy shows around the state, including multi-year runs at Nectar’s in Burlington, Bent Nails Bistro in Montpelier, Zen Barn in Waterbury, and Next Stage Arts in Putney.

Next Stage Arts is located at 15 Kimball Hill in Putney. Tickets and information are available at nextstagearts.org.
