Community Banner-Making & Youth Art Show Submissions – at the Broad Brook Community Center

Join us on Saturday, June 27, from 1:00–5:00 PM at the Broad Brook Community Center for an afternoon of community creativity!

We’ll be creating three large collaborative banners for our upcoming youth art exhibition, Past • Present • Future. Community members of all ages are invited to contribute through collage, painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, or by adding directly to the shared murals. Together, we’ll create banners representing our community’s past, present, and future.

This is also a great opportunity for kids and teens to participate in our first-ever Youth Art Show, which opens during the Broad Brook Community Center’s 4th of July Picnic. Young artists are invited to submit up to three original pieces inspired by one of these themes:

  • Past: What did Vermont look like in 1776?
  • Present: What do you see and love about Vermont today?
  • Future: What do you hope your town, Vermont, and the world will be like 250 years from now – in 2276?

You can drop off completed artwork during this event, or create it on site—we’ll have plenty of art supplies available.

No artistic experience is necessary. Whether you’d like to help build a collaborative community artwork, create your own piece for the exhibit, or both, we’d love to have you join us. This is a wonderful opportunity for children, families, and neighbors of all ages to celebrate our community’s history, creativity, and imagination together.
