Day of Caring 2018

September 22, 2018 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

American Legion

32 Linden Street

Day of Caring is a day for local superheroes to use their caring power through volunteering, giving and advocating for our community! We have projects across Windham County building trails, gleaning, sorting food, cleaning up the drop-in shelter, and more!
On United Way of Windham County’s Day of Caring, caring is your super power! We are seeking local heroes from area towns, companies, schools and civic organizations to participate in volunteer service projects across Windham County on Saturday, September 23, from 9am – noon for its 8th annual Day of Caring.

Day of Caring superheroes choose from a variety of volunteer projects, using their super powers to address the needs of local organizations and public partners. Last year, over 400 hours of volunteer time was logged in one day – a extraordinary demonstration of the caring super power of our community!

It’s time to put on your cape! The day will begin for volunteers at 8:00 a.m. with a kick-off breakfast at the American Legion in Brattleboro. Then, from 9am to noon, superhero volunteers, dressed in their finest United Way t-shirts, will spread out to sites throughout Windham County to provide volunteer service.
