Xingyiquan (Form-Intention Boxing) is a style of Chinese internal martial arts that emphasizes simple linear movements, always done in smooth coordination with the breath.

Classes are a mix of conditioning, solo forms, and two-person exercises that build strength and create movement patterns that are whole-body and integrated, while developing a sense of a “real-time” martial art.

Even though xingyiquan is considered a “soft” art, its training is vigorous, and its application as a martial art is highly effective. Xingyiquan can be trained for health and well-being, or for self-defense.

Taught by Stefan Grace, who has fifteen years of experience training and teaching xingyiquan with some of China and North America’s highest level xingyi practitioners.

Classes held Saturday mornings at 10am, 63 Western Avenue, Brattleboro.

$5 to $10 suggested donation.
