SAVINGS BANK OF WALPOLE EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZED FOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS NATIONALLY AND IN THE COMMUNITY

Keene, NH – Savings Bank of Walpole (SBW) is pleased to announce that a number of employees including Gregg Tewksbury, President and CEO; Mortgage Loan Officers Christine Greenwood and Michelle Hayward and Eric Schlim, Assistant Branch Manager at the Bank’s Marlboro Street location, have been recognized for recent achievements and contributions nationally and in the community.

Mr. Tewksbury was nominated and elected to the prestigious American Bankers Association (ABA) Communication Council. The fifteen-member Council is comprised of bank leaders from around the country representing banks of all sizes and is chartered to provide guidance to ABA leadership on what bank industry messaging should be for all bank constituents including customers, employees, communities, regulators, and lawmakers. This messaging provides the basis for the communications plan used by the ABA, from speeches of the CEO to articles in industry magazines.

Christine Greenwood, Mortgage Loan Officer and a longtime member of the Keene Lion’s Club, was inducted as one of two District Governors in the State of NH during a recent ceremony with Lions Clubs International in Fukuoko, Japan.

Additionally, Mortgage Loan Officer Michelle Hayward was included in the Keene Sentinel’s annual Extraordinary Women magazine for her achievements and contributions on the job as well as with local charitable and civic organizations.
As part of the Monadnock United Way’s (MUW) Loaned Employee Program, Mr. Schlim joins other local employees in the area who serve as the Monadnock United Way’s key fundraisers between August and December. Participation in the program provides volunteers with the opportunity to interact positively with all levels of management from a variety of businesses and organizations throughout the community. They not only gain increased knowledge of how companies operate but also learn new skills, become more sensitive to the community’s needs and develop a better understanding of the human care system that addresses these needs.

The Bank also recently participated in MUW’s Day of Caring Project at the Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention with employees Tonya Waters, Kathleen Dustin and Deb Cannon donating their time to help assemble furniture and decorate the children’s play room at the center.
