I have a 15 year old niece with tan skin in the Mecklenburg school system, otherwise known as Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC.
She was born in New York City.
Her abuela maternal grandmother immigrated legally from South America.
Over 20,000 kids did not show up for school today in my niece’s school district in North Caorlina.
