There are a hundred news reports this morning, January 15, 2026, about President Trump Threatening to use the Insurrection Act. The allegations come from an alleged Truth Social post.
I don’t use Truth Social, my cellphone number was permanently banned. (Applause!) But this is going around, apparently President Trump is threatening to use the Insurrection Act.
The protests against ICE Immigration raids have escalated into destructive behaviour by protesters as evidenced last night in “LIVE” coverage by independent journalists I follow on Youtube.
I complained to one that I didn’t see any protesters breaking windows, so he moved in for closeups. Definitely lots of broken windows!
The thing about “Live” videos on Youtube is that most have a Live chat to the right of the screen, so if the videographer checks the chat screen, off and on while he is filming, then he will talk to the chatters and follow up.
This creates a real living room feel to the “live” video and chat experience because you are chatting with the other chatters, and off and on, with the video guy taking the “LIVE” footage.
One video guy is actually in his living room with his wife, talking about his kids to another chatter guy with children, and they are obviously concerned. That video guy has “Live” feeds coming in, and reposting them on his channel, from his buddy videographers in Los Angeles, Portland and Minneapolis.
So, last night I was going back and forth between some different Youtube guys, and I expect
they will be back tonight after dinner and continue until after midnight our time.
Vermont is 3 hours ahead of Portland and Los Angeles, so midnight here is 9 PM out there. Minneapolis is one hour earlier than Vermont, so 9 PM here is 8 PM there.
Some people complain on Youtube that the late night destructive behaviour is being done by young, mostly white, unemployed people.

are not peaceful. Remember, some of these YouTube guys do NOT normally cover protests.
