The continuing column of little things that you make note of around town. It’s designed for people who don’t want to write multiple paragraphs!
What have you noticed recently? Add to the list.
I’ve noticed some wet stuff falling from above. Not quite sure what it is. I seem to recall some word for it… rain?

Fall Foliage and Harvest Time
Hi Chris!…. I have noticed the leaves are changing since Fall has officially started on September 22nd Monday last week! So hit up those Farmer’s Markets for Fall Harvesting oh, and let’s not forget those delicious heirloom Apples as well!
Early October
Issues at BSL with Park Place resulting in a lawsuit.
A new Tea Shop has opened.
A new local craft donut store is on the way.
Smooth roads in many previously bumpy, rutted, hole-ridden spots. : )
Oct 10
Visible frost in the hills! Got down to 27 overnight here at HQ.
Frost here too
The field across the Whetstone was white!
Spooky Season
Halloween decorations popping up around town. Peepers came, but more of them than colors.
A few more
Scaffolding all over the Post Office downtown makes the front entryway off limits. Everyone must use the side door with the ramp for a while.
BS&L has had work done on their drive-up ATM. A new model.
The forearm Faith’s Ford dealership is now Monadnock Ford… this may have been renamed a while ago. I don’t pay much attention to this building but noticed it the other day. But it has changed sometime!
Brattleboro still has a surprising number of leaves on the trees – maple leaves still up in places.
The roof, the roof, the roof is on top of the library
People working on the roof of the library.
Sticks
Aside from a few stubborn oaks, all the leaves are down around here.
Funny iconic Bernie sitting at that house at the corner of Maple & Guilford.
Fun typo
Electronic sign on RT30 as one enters Brattleboro said to be careful due to “limited makings” …
Probably means “markings”, but watch out for makers, too. : )
December entries
Nice new sign at the American Legion downtown.
Festival of Miniatures in many downtown windows.
