SeVEDS began as a grass roots effort in 2007 and became a formal entity, affiliated with the Windham Regions Regional Development Corporation, BDCC, in 2011. SeVEDS has been compiling research and data, engaging the regions employers, municipalities and residents and working with nationally recognized Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) consultants ViTAL Economies to create a comprehensive plan for long term regional economic growth in Southeastern Vermont. That plan will become the regions federally recognized CEDS and will include 52 projects submitted from throughout the region.
